A Quick Reminder…

If you’ve ever read something on this blog and thought, “I quite enjoyed that. In fact, if I ever met Colin, I’d buy him a coffee, or a beer, to say thanks!” Well… you can! Sort of.

If you look down on the bottom left side of the screen, you’ll see a coffee mug with the words “Tip Me” next to it. Click on that, and you can buy me a coffee via Ko-Fi! Of course, this is not obligatory. Everything I post here is free and you can take it or leave it. But if one of the Devotionals or a Music Monday or a Who Review or any of the random articles on the blog has blessed or entertained you, this is a quick, relatively cheap way of saying, “thanks!”

Whether or not you buy me a coffee, thanks for stopping by. Especially if you’re a regular. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to read my words. I hope you find them worthwhile. 😊

Wow, your coffee is cheap!! Is that the standard cost of a coffee? Ours is way more (even after you take into account the conversion).

I did a quick survey of the house, and yes, that’s about the price of a cheap, no-frills, hot coffee from Starbucks. Depending on size, you might pay a little less. If you go elsewhere, say to a fast food restaurant, you could expect to pay half that much ($1.25 – $1.50).

Don’t forget, we get most of our coffee from Central and South America which is right next door. That’s half-way around the world for you. I’m guessing you tend to drink more instant coffee, like the Brits–probably for the same reason?

Wow, that is crazy cheap! Yes, you have it close to you, but still… I don’t drink coffee myself, but Aussies really don’t drink instant. In fact, Starbucks tried to open here and Aussies rejected it for it’s poor quality. We’re regularly rated one of the top countries with a coffee culture (eg https://www.traveller.com.au/six-of-the-best-countries-with-a-coffee-culture-h11pom).

You are looking at $4.50 ($3.50 in USD) for a cheap coffee here.

Maybe because you have such high regard for coffee as a nation, maybe y’all only import the expensive stuff. Fast food coffee is not often rated highly over here, so there might be something to “you get what you pay for.” While Starbucks does good business here, the coffee connoisseurs I know would rather go to a more specialist coffee establishment for their brews.

Of course, if people would like to treat me to Australian-priced coffees, I wouldn’t object… 😉
