Watt’s Up?

This is just a quick post to let you know a couple of things that are happening in my little social media world.

First, I posted a short story to WattPad. If you don’t know, WattPad is an online story-telling forum. Writers post stories from shorts to novels in all manner of genres (including fan fiction), and people can read them. There’s no charge to either post or read stories.

Why do this? Because writers write to be read, and more than a million people read stories on WattPad. This doesn’t mean I’ve given up on getting published. I’m just recognizing that these days “being published” comes in a variety of flavors. One of these is WattPad. Traditional publishing is a long process, so while I’m working on that, I will post stories to WattPad. At least I will if people read them. If no-one’s interested, I’ll move on.

Which brings me to my next announcement:

At the end of December, I will discontinue my Patreon. The simple reason for this is no-one seems to be interested, and I have run out of ideas for generating interest. Also, lack of Patrons saps any enthusiasm for coming up with monthly giveaways.

Bottom Line: If you want to read free stories, check out my WattPad. If you want to say thank you with $$$, check out my Ko-Fi.

Any questions?
