The Déjà Vu Blogfest

I tried linking to this on my sidebar, but it was messing up the formatting of the rest of the blog. So I’m just posting this as an article, and hopefully at least my subscribers will see it and participate. What is it? It’s the Déjà Vu Blogfest! This blogfest is inspired by D.L. Hammons, and hosted by D. L. Hammons, Lydia Kang, Nicole Ducleroire, and Katie Mills. The idea is that on December 16, everyone listed to participate will post one of their past blog articles that they feel deserves re-posting. Perhaps it was a post done soon after they started blogging, when they had fewer readers. Or maybe their viewer stats were particularly low that day–perhaps due to a holiday. Or maybe they’re just particularly proud of that article and want to give it a second run. December 16th is the day to do that! I will be participating, and if you would also like to join in, just go to one of the hosts’ blogs and sign your name to the list before December 16th.

I would actually like to solicit the aid of my blog readers for this–partly because it will help me decide which article to post, but also because I’m interested to know what kind of things you like to read on my blog. If there’s an article of mine that, for whatever reason (you just liked it, it made you think, it made you angry, it made you laugh…) you think deserves to be spotlighted for this blogfest, let me know in the comments.

And I just can’t broach the subject of déjà vu without reference to one of my favorite Monty Python sketches:

Oh, I think I might do that! Sounds like fun. 🙂

Thanks for the shout out Colin! I can’t believe I missed that Monty python skit…I’m a huge MP fan.

I’m really hoping we can pull off a blogfest of EPIC proportions! 🙂

  3. Yay! Another blogfest to add to my sidebar (to do this select add picture under layout, but be sure you’ve saved the picture somewhere. Then you can have the pic link back to the contest page. 😀 )

As for helping with the deja vu article, I’m not sure how much help I’ll be! I can barely remember what I’ve posted about! Haha!

I think the issue is with the theme I’m using. I’ve tried adding the appropriate html code and links, and using some of the widgets available, but it still does something funky to the rest of the template. I could probably edit the code for the sidebar and add it directly there, but that seems a little drastic, so I’m just going to leave it. Thanks for the tip, though!
